A pop art collaboration like no other, Takashi Murakami lends his heir of creativity and flair to one of the world’s most recognized sparkling waters.
Pop artist extraordinaire Murakami is no stranger to epic collaborations. In the past, he has collaborated with many big names such as Kanye West, Louis Vuitton, Supreme, Vans, Kid Cudi, and now Perrier.
Perrier x Murakami
Murakami's latest collaboration is with Perrier. The brand has always used amazing artists to collaborate with. For example, in the past, they have had artists such as Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, Jean-Gabriel Domergue, and many more for collaborations.
This collaboration aimed to add some pop art and the colorful universe of Murakami to their bottles. After all, he is known by his flower motifs and they are the star of the new bottles.
The colorful art will be screen printed on the green Perrier bottles. It will feature the popular smiling flower motifs and Murakami's two characters namely Kiki and Kaikai.
These characters will also be in an animated film produced by Murakami for Perrier and it will be for 30 seconds. These green bottles are set to hit stores next month. However, the full range of this pop art collaboration will launch at the beginning of 2021.
All About Takashi Murakami
He is perhaps the best contemporary artist that exists right now. His art has inspired this generation and his pop art and colorful universe philosophy is taking over the world of art.
Murakami's style is extremely unique as he has created characters of his own and uses repeated flowers and other motifs to create art.
One of our favourite parts about his work is the delight and vibrancy to everything it is on. It shows a unique personality that you will not see anywhere else.
So in a sense, it is a merger of many things and perhaps this is why Perrier has now decided to collaborate with him too. They expect Murakami's work invokes the spirit of creativity in individuals who will buy their timeless bottles.
Perrier hopes that through this collaboration of Murakami’s colorful universe, they will be able to make art accessible to a global audience.
After all, art is for everyone and not everyone has the access to know about these amazing artists.
The green bottles are set to hit the stores in October 2020 and the rest of the collection is set to release early 2021.

You don't have to be a world-class boxer to get your hands in these $3,200 Versace boxing gloves. And honestly, they'll probably be more valuable in a glass case and more of home decor piece for the avid boxing enthusiast.
